Was the Pizza Man building an architectural icon?
Yesterday, debate raged as readers leveraged opinions on which was indeed the biggest story of them all. But as some began to refer to the two-story building as a Milwaukee icon, I started wondering which of our architectural gems are worthy of the iconic status.

Wainwright III, Thompson join forces for the good
Over the course of two sets Friday night at The Pabst Theater, Loudon Wainwright III and Richard Thompson laid out a sprawling evening of songwriting prowess, musicianship and humorous asides. At the end of each man's solo set he was joined by the other. "I needed to remind Rich we were in the Midwest. Here is one by a Midwesterner," Wainwright said by way of introducing Bob Dylan's "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere," the duo's second and final encore of the evening.
