"The Downtown Milwaukee River ... Once a mighty stream of commerce, now seeks a new role in the life of the city." So said a 1968 report by the Milwaukee River Technical Study Committee, a 10-member group of local officials that convened for five years to assess the state of the river, look back at its history and consider its future. The report makes for interesting reading nearly 50 years later.

It was a long, harsh winter in Wisconsin, but sitting in the audience of the Indigo Girls' show last night at The Pabst Theater - basking in their genuine Georgia warmth - was good medicine for those of us still thawing out emotionally.

The Naked and Famous haven't done much in the name of nudity - probably wise from a career standpoint - but so far they've got the famous part covered. Taking their name from a lyric by English musician Tricky, the New Zealand electronic rockers hit it big with their 2010 debut "Passive Me, Aggressive You," namely their hit song "Young Blood."

Kay Robertson, along with Korie, Missy, Jessica and Lisa, is heading out on a tour this summer to promote the book, "The Women of Duck Commander." The stars from A&E's "Duck Dynasty" will be at The Pabst Theater on Saturday, June 14 at 8 p.m.
