St. Patrick's Day falls on a Sunday this year, but Milwaukee's Irish pubs aren't letting that get in the way of their revelry. Many places have simply adapted, offering all-day celebrations instead of all-night ones, or serving up brunch as well as dinner.

The OnMilwaukee.com staff took great liberty when compiling this list of 100 green things. Some of the items are actually green in color, whereas others are "green" in the eco-friendly sense of the word. And others, well, they're not either of these things. Happy St. Patrick's Day, Milwaukee.

There's a lot of Irish bars in Milwaukee, each with their own unique atmosphere that makes them special. In the end, though, it was County Clare, 1234 N. Astor St., that took first in our readers' poll.

Singer Jerry Grillo has been at it a long time in Milwaukee, playing clubs, bars, festivals and other events with a variety of incarnations of his always crack band. He has also performed with the Nick Contorno Orchestra. The name of his new disc, "Some of the Best," is a reference, he has said, to the musicians with which he has surrounded himself over the past 15 years.
