To celebrate this Milwaukee renaissance of creative concoctions, one week out of year has been dedicated to all things cocktail: Milwaukee Cocktail Week, happening Sept. 16 to Sept. 22. In honor of Milwaukee Cocktail Week, 88Nine asked John Revord to create six cocktails inspired by six Milwaukee artists and bands.

A little less than 365 days ago, Milwaukee music mainstay Paul Cebar and his band, Tomorrow Sound, rang in the new year with a bang, playing a Turner Hall on Jan. 10 in support of the band's newly released album, "Fine Rude Thing." After a productive 2014 promoting the new record around the country, Cebar and company are now coming back to town to crack open 2015 in a similar fashion, playing a set at Shank Hall Friday night.

On a break from one of his many bike tours of the country, I spoke (get it?) with Milwaukee singer and songwriter Peter Mulvey about touring on, quite literally, the open road, about his new record, which features a guest appearance by our own Paul Cebar and about coming home to play at Turner Hall on Thursday, May 8 with Vic & Gab.
