The Head and the Heart face fame, dreams on its sophomore album

When we first talked to Seattle-based indie folk rockers The Head and the Heart, the band was still basking in the success of its well-received self-titled debut album and an upcoming Milwaukee appearance, not as the opener, but as the headliner. It's been a busy three years since that interview for the band, with a sophomore album now out and a tour that brings The Head and the Heart to Milwaukee now twice in a four-month stretch.

Pentatonix seems to have a new viral video every couple of weeks, and NBC's "The Sing-Off," just recently started its fourth season last Monday. Then there's "Pitch Perfect," the surprise comedy hit of last year. Helping lead the charge for many of these groups is Straight No Chaser, who will bring their instrument-free innovation to the Riverside Tuesday night.
