On Dec. 2, 1987, brothers Russ and Jim Klisch opened a small microbrewery on Chambers Street in Riverwest. To celebrate the milestone they will - you guessed it - brew more beer. Here are the plans for the year-long celebration.

Last week, The Riverwest Public House was granted a liquor license and announced they will quietly open in early March with a grand opening set for the first week of April. The Riverwest Public House will be the second cooperative tavern in the country.

Chris Bohl, the new owner of the The Pub in Riverwest, says he didn't make major changes to the bar because he was already satisfied with the scene. He did, however, extend happy hour from 3 to 7 p.m. every day except Sunday and now offers $1.50 rail drinks and $2 taps.
