OnMilwaukee.com readers picked Culver's as their favorite local fast food joint. Culver's is a chain that's based in Prairie du Sac, Wis. The first hamburger-and-ice-cream eatery opened in 1984 in Sauk City, and today, there are 390 Culver's restaurants all over the country.

The '80s-themed bar and restaurant, Cans Bar and Canteen, opens in July in the old Rocky Rococo, 1815 E. Kenilworth Place. Twenty years ago, the fast food joint was one of the East Side's most popular teen hangouts.
