Changes to Rock 'n Sole run route in 2014

Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. officials announced new course changes for the fourth annual Summerfest Rock `n Sole Run. This year's race will be held June 14 at 7 a.m. and once again include a half marathon, quarter marathon and 5k route. Online registration is open.


Foot Locker Cross Country Championship comes to Kenosha

Top high school cross country runners from more than thirteen states will compete in the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships Midwest Regional at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha on Nov. 30 in hopes of becoming a National Finalist. Non high school runners can compete in the open race.


26.2 miles for my 26th birthday

I'm turning 26 and wanted to do something special. I wasn't looking for an average birthday celebration. I wanted to go out of town, maybe get crazy in Las Vegas, something new and exciting. However, it proved to be a bit difficult to coordinate my group of friends and get everyone on board for a vacation. Instead, I thought why not run 26 miles for my 26th birthday?

Anne Coffman has helped people with disabilities throughout her career as a physical therapist, always in short bursts of exercise and coaching. In contrast, her next session - devoted to helping people with multiple sclerosis - will stretch for nine days and 218 miles.
