Though nearly a quarter-century passed between the release of Semi-Twang's first record - "Salty Tears," the sole fruit of the band's major label deal with Warner Bros. Records - and its second - the independently released "Wages of Sin," in 2011 - the band is already back with a new disc, "The Why and the What For." We talked to John Sieger about it.

A Concert For Eileen will take place Saturday, March 10 at Shank Hall. The event is a fundraiser for mother and artist Eileen Worman who is in need of a kidney. Multiple Milwaukee bands joined forces to help with medical bills, and a few of the bands reunited for the event.

There are reunion gigs and there are reunion gigs. It's certainly no secret anymore that Milwaukee's great Semi-Twang has reunited for some gigs and even a new record in recent years. But when the band - featuring some of the city's top musical talent, including John and Mike Sieger, Bob Jennings, Bob Schneider and guitarists Mike Hoffmann and Jason Klagstad - takes the stage at Turner Hall on Wednesday, Feb. 29, it mark a reunion of another kind.
