Giant battle stewing beneath the Hoan
The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewage District is ready to entertain suitors to run the district’s wastewater operations for the next decade or so. Its first 10-year contract with United Water to run the facility will end early next year.

MMSD struggles to improve image
MMSD recently became an issue in the mayoral race. Tom Barrett has put out a white paper, saying how he would monitor MMSD. Barrett also ran a radio spot, criticizing some of the operations of the district.
