The downside of doing a spring training trip every year is that it's easy to become accustomed to the experience, to look past the little details that make this so special. Not this year. Nope, this time around, I'm literally stopping to smell the flowers.

I know it may sound like it, but I'm really not trying to gloat about my annual Brewers Spring Training trip to Phoenix. It's just one of my favorite trips I take every year, and I hope that these annual blogs spark an interest in some of our readers to give this ultimate Brewers experience a try.

Over the past 14 years, I've stayed in a variety of accommodations when visiting Phoenix to watch the Brewers Spring Taring. From friends' couches to five-star hotels, no place has been as convenient as the Sheraton Crescent, a mere nine miles from Maryvale Baseball Park. And have we got a special for you.

Sometimes, though admittedly less so as life gets more complicated, vacations just happen. But this long weekend with my wife and two friends of ours sprung from a simple e-mail from our contact at the Sheraton Crescent Hotel in Phoenix. Here's what we did.

Sunday and Monday consisted of one more Brewers game, a nap, some excellent sushi and a nightcap at a cool bar. The biggest fireworks were at the airport this morning, as TSA shut down the terminal, screaming "bravo" because someone presumably skipped through the security line.
