Inspired by high school classrooms, Room 434 opens tomorrow -- Wednesday, Dec. 7. -- in the old Social, 434 S. 2nd St. The first day of business will also serve as the Grand Opening, with a party at 7 p.m.

Paul Amitai has long been a part of Milwaukee's music and arts scenes. He was lead singer of the popular ska band The Pacers and has since become one of the city's most adventurous musicians. He's also an accomplished visual artist. We recently caught up with Amitai to see what he's been up to.

On Fri, Jan. 4, The Social debuted The Dub Room, a new regular feature at the Walker's Point bar and restaurant. The Dub Room will be a monthly gathering of like-minded dub enthusiasts, DJs and dub bands, hosted by The Super Noble Brothers.

Hudson is a band with many faces, and on Sat., Dec. 8 they showed all of them at The Social. With six years of performing under their belt, the band has perfected its innovative sound and now is moving forward.
