Although primarily a sports bar and restaurant, Park 6 has established itself as a neighborhood go-to for celebrations from birthdays to anniversaries. Tara Cavazos, with the help of her family, owns and operates the Mitchell Street establishment.

12th District County Supervisor Peggy Romo West is serving more than the City of Milwaukee these days. She's also serving drinks at Romo's Silver City Sports Bar, a corner tap at 3530 W. National Ave. that she co-owns with her husband, Junior.


Thurman's can't be dead

According to an employee, Thurman's 15, 1731 N. Arlington Pl., is closed for repairs. The bar, he says, will reopen in the future but was unsure when. I really hope this is true.

Recently, because of an reader's suggestion, we stopped in at Fuzzy's Sports Pub and Grill in Waukesha to chat with bartender Kristi Chase. Turns out, we had a great brunch and found Chase easy and fun to chat with about all sorts of topics, from gambling to family to spraying Cubs fans with water.
