Sean Malone, the president of the Ten Chimneys Foundation, which owns and operates the historic Lunt-Fontanne estate in Genesee Depot, has been chosen to participate in a prestigious two-year national chief executive program for arts administrators. He joins executives from the American Ballet Theatre, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Norman Rockwell Museum and other organizations in the exercise.

Mark Clements shuffled the deck last season. It's what you expect a new artistic director to do in his first year at the controls of a large regional theater company. Milwaukee Rep audiences were exposed to new actors, new directors, new playwrights and the spectacle of the first full Broadway musical on the Quadracci Powerhouse Theater stage. Change happened. This season the Rep opens with characters Wisconsin theatergoers certainly know - Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne.

The list of theater royalty, starting with Noel Coward, Laurence Olivier and Helen Hayes, who have spent time working at Ten Chimneys in Genesee Depot is becoming longer this week with the arrival of actress and director Olympia Dukakis. She is conducting workshops on the plays of Anton Chekhov for 10 hand-picked stage actors from around the country.
