Lucky Joe's Tiki Room, 196 S. 2nd St., will close this weekend, according to owner Lee Guk. Saturday night will be the final night of operation.

Dave Hansen was born in California but his family moved away when he was very young and before he could remember living there. Today, Hansen lives in Cudahy with his wife and 2-year-old son and works as a full-time, freelance artist who creates tiki carvings and other "Polynesian pop" pieces. He also surfs on Lake Michigan.
