Ed Makowski has worked at Foundation, Riverwest's punk rock skater hangout turned breathtaking tiki bar, for eight years. Makowski is also a poet who published two collections of poetry and served as The Pfister Narrator from November 2011 to April 2012.

After months of renovations, Lucky Joe's Tiki Room opens to the public Friday, Nov. 16 in the former Ball Game space in Walker's Point, 196 S. 2nd St. This is the second venture for Ten Bells' owner Lee Guk.

Lee Guk, owner of Ten Bells in Walker's Point, purchased the building that formerly housed The Ball Game, 196 S. 2nd St., and says he will reopen the space by mid-October as Lucky Joe's Tiki Room.

TIKI torches, the outdoor oil lamps synonymous with beach parties and backyard barbecues, aren't from in Maui or Malibu. Nope, the company is based in Menomonee Falls, a city slightly less frequently associated with Polynesian party ware.
