For some reason most people think that artists read from a completely different rule book: You're not a "real' artist" unless you are in a constant state of purgatory. The only way to really enhance your credentials as a musical trailblazer is to jump off the nearest cliff! But I reject that completely. I am nobody's martyr!

The free tour at Stone Creek factory takes place every Sunday at noon and does not require pre-registration. It lasts about an hour and includes coffee and espresso samples. We went recently and had a very tasty time.

Clock Shadow Creamery, the first urban cheese factory in Wisconsin, opened in April 2012 on the ground floor of the "green" Fix Building, 138 W. Bruce St. Recently, we went on a tour of the facility and learned all sorts of fun facts like "what makes a cheese curd squeak?"
