Today, the Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) added stored value on MCTS M*CARD smart cards, now available for purchase at 55 retail outlet locations scattered throughout the county. The additional option of stored value comes two weeks after MCTS began selling one-day, seven-day and 31-day smart card passes.

Last July, exactly one day before she turned 40, Kelley Hickman bought a school bus. It was the first step in starting her transportation business, Beautiful Endeavors, which launched last October. Little did she know when she made the initial purchase that within the year she would be able to leave her bus driving job of 11 years to focus her efforts exclusively on her own venture.

This afternoon, Bublr Bikes announced and began installing the first of its 10 inaugural bike-share stations in downtown Milwaukee. The first station, set at Red Arrow Park, marks the first step in an extended launch that is expected to grow up to 40 more similar stations throughout Milwaukee in 2015 - with the goal of hitting 100 stations and 1,000 shareable bikes within the next few years.
