Although there are indoor playgrounds in the area, none of them are in Milwaukee. Bay View's Shannon Knapp hopes to change this very soon with a natural, bouncy-house-free indoor playground called Up, Up and Play.

Waldorf eduction is an approach to learning based on the philosophies of Austrian philosopher Rudolph Steiner. There is one Waldorf school in Milwaukee, Tamarack Waldorf School, 1150 E. Brady St., and one in Pewaukee, Prairie Hill Waldorf School.

The Young Women's Institute for Global Studies (TYWIGS) is a new school, soon to be born in Milwaukee. It was created out of a mother's love and determination to provide the best, most optimal school experience, for her daughters.
