Friday morning muses: airborne edition
In the 18 years I've been using the Internet, a few memories stand out. Obviously, I remember the first time I sent an e-mail in 1991. I remember using instant messenger to connect with friends in new York on Sept. 11. And I remember the first time I used Wi-Fi. I'm sure I'll remember the first time I used in-flight Wi-Fi en route to Washington, DC.

We're doing something this afternoon that's never been attempted in Milwaukee: a live blog and chat from 38,000 feet, using AirTran's new wi-fi service to post an article en route from Milwaukee to Atlanta. Bucketworks finds new start with new home
Bucketworks has been repeatedly misinterpreted as an arts collective, a co-op for creatives, a community arts center. Director James Carlson has a better way of putting it.

Five D.C.
I suppose I should come up with my version of a recession 'sob story' for the recesion buster give away going on here.  Well, for one despite a graduate degree in economics, I am still vastly underemployed.  A part time job at a big corporation because of hiring freezes is an unpleasant...
