2009 High School football wrap-up
Kassy McCarthy earned all-state honors kicking for WIAA Division 2 state champ, Waunakee. She never could have played for the D1 champ, Marquette, as its an all-boys school and McCarthy is a girl.

Menomonee Falls, Marquette to meet for WIAA title
The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Athletic Association Division 1 football championship game, set for Friday at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, will feature two Greater Metro Conference powerhouses: undefeated Marquette and Menomonee Falls, which lost only to the Hilltoppers this season.

Tyler Metcalf's goal lifted Muskego to a 1-0, double-overtime victory over Madison Memorial. It was Muskego's first-ever state championship in soccer.
