Brewers hire Randolph to be their bench coach
When he wasn't hired to manage the Brewers last month, Willie Randolph figured his chances of returning to Milwaukee were shot. But, he works in baseball, an industry where you never say "never." In an announcement that came as a surprise to almost everyone, including the former Mets manager himself, the Brewers tabbed Randolph to be the bench coach for manager Ken Macha.

Brewers select Macha as new manager
Now that the World Series is over, the Brewers have moved quickly to name a new manager. Former Oakland skipper Ken Macha, who had been working for the Boston Red Sox broadcast team, will manage the team. A press conference is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Miller Park.

Brenly seems to fit the bill as Brewers' next manager
Based on the apparent criteria, the Brewers can halt their search for a new skipper right now. Cubs TV announcer Bob Brenly has it all: experience, a track record of post-season success, media savvy ... Still, it's not a slam-dunk. One of the only certainties in baseball is that the moves that seem logical, easy and obvious seldom work out that way.
