Brewers Notebook: Time for a much-needed break
Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder and Trevor Hoffman are in St. Louis for the All-Star Game. The rest of their Brewers teammates, though, are getting three much-needed days off to regroup and refocus after a disappointing end to the first half.

Brewers Notebook: Braun speaks loudly, carries big stick
After a slow start, Ryan Braun's bat came to life on the Brewers' nine-game, 10-day road trip. Thanks to that, and some timely pitching, the Brewers are starting to look much more like the team that made a playoff run last season.

Brewers Notebook: Suppan's slide continues
Jeff Suppan left the field Sunday night to a chorus of boos from the Miller Park crowd after yet another awful outing. Suppan is 0-2 this season with a 12.91 ERA after allowing 11 runs, 11 hits and seven walks to go with two strikeouts. For a team that lacks depth in the rotation and has an untested bullpen, those are brutal numbers ... especially when they come with a price tag of $12 million per season.
