Maybe you saw the first two lists of great Milwaukee music makers and talked back with your suggestions. In this final list, for now, we assemble more landmark music makers in Milwaukee across the decades, but we also add in some of the folks who have had an important influence on the local scene regardless of whether or not they've ever played an instrument in public.

Milwaukee radio veteran Steve Palec is a busy man. In addition to hosting "Rock and Roll Roots" every Sunday on 96.5 FM WKLH, he also hosts a weeknight show Monday through Fridays called "Legends of Rock" on the station. On top of that, Palec holds a "real" job in commercial real estate as a senior vice president at CB Richard Ellis.

Green Bay native David Lee's deep baritone voice is instantly recognizable to sports fans, who will recognize him as the voiceover guy for CBS Radio Sports/Westwood One, the company that broadcasts NFL games on the radio. He's also the guy who's voice shouts "Sunday! Sunday! Sunday" on TV and radio commercials.

I recently had the privilege to see a preview of the new comedy “Superbad,” which included a post-screening Q&A with the three lead actors Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, and Christopher Mitntz-Plasse.
