With World Series over, Brewers will get to work
Now that the Yankees have defeated the Phillies, captured their 27th championship and are planning their victory parade, the rest of the baseball world will begin making off-season plans. For the Brewers, the "to do" list includes deciding which veteran free agents to retain and the almost never-ending pursuit of quality pitching.

Yankees' excess makes it easy to root against them
The baseball season is almost upon us, and sports columnist Dave Begel is fixated on two things. One is that the Brewers surprise us all by being good again. The other is that the Yankees pay the price for their ridiculous excess by falling flat on their face. Begel isn't talking about coming close and missing. He's talking about a record of something like 62-100.

Closeout -- 90% off all Jets sports team wear
Milwaukee's love affair with the Jets was brief. One lackluster season long, in fact. Having spent roughly half my life in New York City and half in Milwaukee, I never saw much love for either city in the other. So, seeing Jets jerseys in local shops was about as eye-opening as finding Brewers gear and cheesehead hats in Times Square.
