Talkback: Parent Posse: To vaccinate or not to vaccinate

Part of the reason people are afraid to follow their medical professionals advice is the job the media has done over the last 20 years on making us feel that there are no experts, that everyones opinion is equal and raising the importance of opinion makers while reducing our trust in science.

Though there are corporations that fund research that is self serving, most scientists are ethical people who are being funded by unbiased grants.

I suggest that science is the place to look for what medical treatment should be given; not the internet, not Parent Posse's and not TV. Your doctor is a trained expert. Your doctor hasn't been duped by "the man." Though, it is good to question authority at times, these are people that have years of training, expertise, experience and a fund of knowledge based on facts and science.

Many people are afraid to trust their doctor, but willingly listen to goofballs and mental midgets on cable new networks. Your doctor has a much higher IQ than any of the fools you see on CNN or Fox.

In recent years, as a society, we replaced actual knowledge, based on research with some fools opinion. And when you read this and say to yourself... "what facts? Facts are manipulatable" Then you have been duped into not believing in science. Another step toward a dark age of superstition. No vaccinations? What next... your dead grandma sitting on the toilet is going to come back to life? Prayer is going to help your daughter with Diabetes?

How are you celebrating the completed Marquette Interchange?
Trying out new exit ramps, even when I don't need to.
Continuing to drive less, because gas prices are bankrupting me.
Using this opportunity to remind people that Milwaukee still needs a mass transit solution.
The construction rarely affected me, and neither does its completion.
