Talkback: Thriving in the Third Ward

I definately don't think we need to be offended by this article. Likely, anyone who has recently visited/shopped/dined/watched a show/lived in the Third Ward knows it's relatively clean, orderly, safe, full of people, and thriving, as far as hip, re-invented urban neighborhoods go. The embarrassment and shame goes to the magazine, for seedy writing! It looks like they talked to one guy (someone's uncle?) who claimed to be super hip, and his scaredy-cat and foolish wife, who, being from Oconomowoc, knows nothing about hip, thriving neighborhoods. And the mag took him at his/her word that the neighborhood was seedy and he had single-handedly sniffed out it's potential. 5 minutes on the Google machine could have vastly improved the article-- by nixing it altogether. While most people won't even read the mag, what an embarrassment to them and indication of shoddy journalism!! Who would base an article on one guy's POV?
The one's laughing are the number of other high-end interior stores in the Third Ward; the stores that've been there much longer. What an idiot this guy must look like to them!
