OnMilwaukee.com, Milwaukee's daily magazine, named veteran Milwaukee reporter Tim Cuprisin as its new media columnist Thursday, further cementing its commitment to hyper-local content and lifestyle coverage.

Cuprisin, 51, wrote the popular "Inside TV and Radio" column for 15 years at the Milwaukee Journal, and later, at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. He will expand upon his years of experience at OnMilwaukee.com, where he'll author a daily column and blog and will produce weekly segments to air on Time Warner Cable's Wisconsin On Demand Channel 1111.

"We're looking forward to Tim joining our OnMilwaukee.com editorial staff," said Andy Tarnoff, publisher and co founder. "His experience, contacts and established reader base are great assets to our magazine as we continue to provide the city's best lifestyle and entertainment coverage."

"I'm excited to join the staff of OnMilwaukee.com, an enthusiastic crew of journalists who cover Milwaukee with an immediacy that only the Internet can offer. And Time Warner Cable's involvement is just the icing on the cake," said Cuprisin.

Time Warner Cable plays a key role in this unique partnership, providing a multimedia focus for Cuprisin's content.

Bev Greenberg, Time Warner Cable vice president communications & regional local programming said, "Time Warner Cable has been long time partner with OnMilwaukee.com and the newest collaboration with Tim Cuprisin extends that commitment."

"We know that Tim has a loyal following and we are excited to offer this new program to that audience and expand his scope to Time Warner Cable customers on our award-winning Wisconsin on Demand," added Mark Strachota, general manager & director local programming.

Cuprisin will begin his tenure at OnMilwaukee.com on Oct. 1, 2009. Cuprisin's weekly segment on Wisconsin on Demand will premiere the week of Oct. 12.
