MILWAUKEE – OnMilwaukee.com today announced it is joining the Play It Forward Wisconsin Coalition in support of the proposed sports and entertainment arena for Wisconsin in Downtown Milwaukee.

"Since we began in 1998, our mission has been clear: Make great media and move Milwaukee forward.  As the city's premier lifestyle media entity, everyday we see the importance of entertainment and sports in our community.  The new arena is critical to the growth of Milwaukee as it continues to grow into a true world class destination," said co-founder and president Jeff Sherman. "Sports and music bring communities together, and a new arena will provide more opportunity for us to all play in Downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin's entertainment and economic leader."

Sherman also highlighted OnMilwaukee.com's partnerships with the many of the sports, entertainment and music organizations in Milwaukee.

"Keeping Milwaukee in the 'big leagues' is important. Moving forward on a new arena builds value, provides jobs and helps companies like OnMilwaukee.com better recruit and retain the best and brightest employees, those looking to live and work in exciting cities," added Andy Tarnoff, co-founder and publisher.

The Play It Forward Wisconsin Coalition was established in 2014 and is committed to coming together as a community to ensure Southeast Wisconsin remains a vibrant and diverse entertainment destination with a new arena that meets the needs of the next generation of fans.

OnMilwaukee.com joins a host of other organizations that already have pledged support of the arena, including Marquette University, African American Chamber Of Commerce of Wisconsin; the Milwaukee Metropolitan Association of Commerce, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors, the Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin, The Business Council, Associated General Contractors of Greater Milwaukee, Milwaukee Urban League, Milwaukee Urban League Young Professionals, NEWaukee, FUEL Milwaukee and TEMPO Milwaukee.
