MILWAUKEE -- OnMilwaukee.com, Milwaukee's daily magazine, today announced it is accepting submissions for its first Poetry Contest. All poems must be about Milwaukee or include the word "Milwaukee" and poems will be accepted via e-mail through Sept. 23, 2002.

Area residents will compete for a grand prize that includes a $200 gift certificate from Harry W. Schwartz Bookshops, a subscription to The Writer magazine, 2 tickets to "Escape from Happiness" at The Rep and an OnMilwaukee.com gift pack. Poets are encouraged to submit poems via e-mail to poetry@staff.onmilwaukee.com beginning Sept. 9 through Sept. 23, 2002.
