MILWAUKEE -- Smile, you are on OnMilwaukee.com. Summerfest goers have a new way to preserve their Big Gig fun this year -- digital pictures, postcards and prints. Summerfest has partnered with OnMilwaukee.com to provide Digital Event Photography for Summerfest 2002.
With technology that goes beyond traditional event photography, patrons are able to use the Internet any time of day on the day after their picture is taken at Summerfest to view, customize, send and purchase pictures.
During all remaining days of Summerfest, photographers will roam the Summerfest grounds and snap digital pictures between 2 - 8 p.m. Pictures will be taken in a variety of settings. Once photographed, fest goers are given a business card sized flyer with instructions on how to view, send and purchase their pictures online the following day.
Here's how it works. Users go to http://www.onmilwaukee.com/sbc/ to view, email, download and purchase their pictures. This custom Web site is sponsored by SBC Ameritech and contains links to summerfest.com.
Users are able to browse all pictures from a particular day, click on their picture and then customize it with a personal message to send as an eGreeting to family and friends. Images can also be downloaded as a desktop image or purchased online as a high-quality print. Each print purchased is printed on Fujifilm Fujicolor Crystal Archive paper with a luster finish. Prints can be purchased in either 4x6, 5x7, or 8x10 sizes. All orders are shipped first class or priority mail within 4 business days.
OnMilwaukee.com is Milwaukee's daily magazine and most comprehensive Internet City Guide. Featuring more than 1,400 bars and restaurants, classifieds and personals, festival guides, a live movie guide, online movie ticketing, weekly polls, traffic cameras, restaurant reviews, an event calendar, weather, news, exclusive features and much more, OnMilwaukee.com is a one stop shop for creative, local and easy-to-use Milwaukee information.
