Cianciola back on the radio

That's right, Phil Cianciola was back on the radio for the first time since being fired back in September, making an appearance on the WSSP Sportstalk 1250 airwaves at the station's annual toy drive for Childrens Hospital. You can hear some of that along with an interview with Doug Russell, Phil's former producer who now does the morning show there. Also on today's showgrum, Phil has a rather unique observation about Tiger Woods after playing the infamous voicemail Tiger left for his girlfriend. Then flash back to 1987 and the Brewers' 13-game win streak. Phil plays a clip from TV back then featuring Johnny Brandmeier, one of his radio idols, now also on the sidelines after being fired this week.

Happy Thanksgiving! Phil has the show on the road, over the river and in the woods at the lake house. No phone, no lights, no motorcars, but the internet is working. Apparently Phil has been able to steal someone's service! There's a live turkey sighting as breaking news during the show today too!

It's Thanksgiving eve and all through the house....no wait a minute....wrong holiday. Over the river and through the woods to the lake house the PhilCast show goes. It's travel day for Phil, but there is a short show with some of your letters and a hint at the next big contest for the month of December too.

On the Tuesday PhilCast, the show starts on the road, when Phil Cianciola interviews the new executive director of the Wisconsin Humane Society, Anne Reed on location. Also on the subject of dogs, Phil clears up any confusion about an email floating around that says some of the racing dogs will have to be put down when Dairyland Greyhound Park closes at the end of the year--WRONG! Some of your contest letters are read, and then it's the story about Mayfair Mall sorta-kinda paying shoppers to park there on Black Friday.

Monday's PhilCast actually ENDS with the BEAR butt sighting on SNF. Before that there's some Pack Yak following the win over SF yesterday. And speaking of the 49'ers, a picture of some of their fans got Phil so worked up on today's show that his dog starting barking during the recording! THE RETURN OF 'STORIES OF THE STRANGE'

Friday PhilCasts just got a little more strange with the return of an old feature Phil used to do on the radio called "Stories of the Strange". Listeners wanted it back, so here it is. SOS joins "Flashback Friday" as regular features on the Friday show now. Today Phil flashes back to 1988 as he and Larry the legend interview an alien in the studio. Phil also talks deer hunting, letters to Santa and about people who don't know how to retire properly.

Last but not least, Lips LaBelle shares Thanksgiving stories and reveals that Cindy Crawford sucks her salad...really.
