Summerfest officials Thursday announced the 2011 headliners for the Potawatomi Bingo Casino Stage. They are:

Wednesday, June 29 – The Max Weinberg Experience

Thursday, June 30 – Wanda Jackson

Friday, July 1 – Taj Mahal

Saturday, July 2 – Cowboy Mouth

Sunday, July 3 – Don Felder

Tuesday, July 5 – Indigenous

Wednesday, July 6 – The Spinners

Thursday, July 7 – Yonder Mountain String Band

Friday, July 8 – Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings

Saturday, July 9 – De La Soul

Sunday, July 10 – Todd Rundgren

The next headliner announcement party is Tuesday, April 26 at BBC, 2022 E. North Ave. Acts for the U.S. Cellular Connection Stage will be announced at 5 .m. All attending the announcement party will receive a free admission ticket for Summerfest's opening day.

A majority of these bands has piqued my interest in going to Summerfest. Much more than some of the other acts that have been announced on the other stages.

It was smokey evening Friday night with Yonder Mountain String Band, the fog machines working overtime onstage highlighting the dazzling light show that occurred at The Pabst Theater.

On the last night of the festival, at the last show of the night, a group of individuals - including myself - patiently waited for the Potawatomi Stage to darken. Geared up in the finest Packers swag, we had arrived for Todd Rundgren to perform his iconic song "Bang The Drum All Day" and a chance to relive our memories of all those times during the football season that Aaron Rodgers would pass, hand-off or sneak his way to another touchdown.

Big Gig: Sugarland
