Summerfest announces Rock Stage headliners for 2011


Summerfest announced the 2011 headline acts for the Rock Stage Tuesday evening.

They are:

Wednesday, June 29 – Saving Abel

Thursday, June 30 – Blackberry Smoke (8 p.m.) / Jackyl

Friday, July 1 – Civil Twilight (8 p.m.) / Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

Saturday, July 2 – Hinder

Sunday, July 3 – Urge Overkill (8 p.m.) / Fuel

Tuesday, July 5 – My Darkest Days

Wednesday, July 6 – Sick Puppies

Thursday, July 7 – Pop Evil (8 p.m.) / Finger Eleven

Friday, July 8 – Sevendust

Saturday, July 9 – Buckcherry

Sunday, July 10 – 10 Years (8 p.m.) / Hollywood Undead

(All shows begin at 10 p.m. unless noted)

Headliners for Jo Jo's Martini Lounge will be announced Thursday at Jo Jo's Pizza and Pub, 11302 W. Bluemound Rd. All those attending the event, which runs from 5-7 p.m., will receive a complimentary ticket for Summerfest's opening day.

no worries Paul. you're just old. i bet most kids looking at this list are thinking who the eff is Urge Overkill? Hinder is god awful terrible but have sold millions of records (think Nickelback). Buckcherry are ok though, in a classic era Aerosmith kinda way. regardless, the rock stage has had the worst lineups of any stage for years now. doesn't appear that anything has changed.

Well, I guess I'm officially out of touch. Or I don't know what current rock & roll consists of. The only band I've heard of amongst all these headliners is Urge Overkill.
