Summerfest adds Big Time Rush to Marcus Amphitheater lineup

Big Time Rush brings its "Big Time Summer Tour" to Summerfest's Marcus Amphitheater Friday, July 6.

The pop band is Summerfest's sixth Marcus Amphitheater show announced for 2012. Big Time Rush is joined by special guests Cody Simpson and Rachel Crow.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, March 10 at 11 a.m. and include Summerfest admission. Tickets can be purchased at the Marcus Amphitheater box office, Ticketmaster ticket centers, Walmart stores, online at Ticketmaster.com and by phone at (800) 745-3000.

Who in God's name is Big Time Rush??? I mean, I know who Rush are, the Canadian prog-rock band, and they certainly are big time. But I get the feeling that this isn't them...

Pitbull, Bryan, Cooper

Summerfest has announced two more headliners for 2013. Rapper Pitbull will headline the Marcus Amphitheater on Sunday, June 30. Country artist Luke Bryan headline the amphitheater on Wednesday, July 3 with special guests Thompson Square and Florida Georgia Line. Alice Cooper will also play at the Big Gig.

The Violent Femmes revealed on their tour schedule that they will be headlining the Marcus Amphitheater on June 26. Summerfest has not made an official announcement yet.
