Summerfest announces more acts
Summerfest officials announced the headlining acts for the Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard stage for Summerfest 2011. Here they are:
Wednesday, June 29: Meat Loaf (10 p.m.)
Thursday, June 30: George Clinton (8 p.m.)
Friday, July 1: Third Eye Blind (10 p.m.)
Saturday, July 2: Phil Vassar (10 p.m.)
Sunday, July 3: Ike Reilly (6 p.m.); Alejandro Escovedo (8 p.m.); Jayhawks (10 p.m.)
Tuesday, July 5: The Wailers (10 p.m.)
Wednesday, July 6: Danny Gokey (10 p.m.)
Thursday, July 7: Raphael Saadiq (10 p.m.)
Friday, July 8: TBA
Saturday, July 9: Pat McCurdy (7:30 p.m.); BoDeans (10 p.m.)
Sunday, July 10: Willy Porter (8 p.m.); Amos Lee (9:30 p.m.)

I agree the July 3 show is a great line-up. Just wish it wasn't scheduled on the same night as the fireworks. The lakefront is always ridiculously packed that night.

the July 3rd bill is why people shouldn't complain about Summerfest. it's about as perfect as a bill can get on a summer night.

really looking forward to The Jayhawks with both Gary's back in the mix. Ike Reilly puts on a good rock show too !
