Summerfest announces this year's Emerging Artists Series lineup
Summerfest has announced the 2011 Emerging Artists Series lineup for the U.S. Cellular Connection Stage, which will feature up-and-coming bands from across the country daily from 3 to 7:30 p.m.
The lineup includes Milwaukee artists Pezzettino, Chasing Taylor, Juniper Tar, The Wildbirds, The Ragadors and Herman Astro.
Summerfest-goers will be able to use their cell phones to vote for their favorite bands in the series. The band with the most votes each day will win an Emerging Artists Series Care Package consisting of products from major equipment manufacturers, including Taylor Guitars, Sennheiser Microphones, ddrum Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Hal Leonard Publishing and more, valued at over $2,000.
Fans can also vote for their favorite bands online through Sunday, May 22, to include them in the U.S. Cellular Emerging Artists Series CD. The CD will feature the top 11 vote-getters, and will be distributed through Summerfest promotions and music industry events.
