Milwaukee Irish Fest has named Patrick J. Boyle as the organization's new executive director.

Boyle was selected by Milwaukee Irish Fest officials from a group of more than 40 candidates assembled through a national search. His past experience includes working as executive director of Saukville's Riveredge Nature Center, and as city administrator in Cedarburg.

He will assume the role as executive director as of September, but will attend this year's Irish Fest, Aug. 16-19, to meet with festival organizers and volunteers.

Boyle will replace former Executive Director Jane Anderson, who stepped down earlier this year.
