Katy Perry to headline Summerfest
Summerfest Wednesday announced that Katy Perry will headline the Marcus Amphitheater on Thursday, July 7.
Perry's first two albums, "One of the Boys" and "Teenage Dream," featured chart-topping singles like "I Kissed a Girl," "California Gurls" and "Firework."
Tickets to the 7:30 p.m. show go on sale Saturday, Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. They can be purchased at the Marcus Amphitheater Box Office, Ticketmaster, Walmart stores or online at Ticketmaster.com.

okay, just because YOU do not like the act, or music today, doesn't mean that 1,000,000+ people don't enjoy Katy Perry and other poppy music (record sales, check that out). Guess what, there are other acts playing, I think, that day. You may want to look into that. You may be in luck, because I'm guessing you're a Boogie Men fan, or Pat McCurdy. Or, do us Summerfest-goers a favor, and actually stay home. Less crowd.

There is plenty of great music being made today, but if you are too lazy to look for it beyond Kiss-fm and the main stage at Summerfest, then you get what you deserve.

You can't blame Summerfest for the terrible music that is currently "hot". Katy Perry IS popular and will sell out thus will be a moneymaker for the grounds. It just sucks that today's music is nothing short of awful.
