Mraz fills final Marcus Amphitheater slot


Summerfest announced today that Jason Mraz will headline the Marcus Amphitheater on Saturday, July 2 at 6:30 p.m. along opening act, Guster.

The announcement fills the final Amphitheater slot for the Big Gig.
Singer-songwriter Mraz broke into the music scene with his debut album, "Waiting for My Rocket to Come," with his hit single "The Remedy (I Won't Worry)." Influenced by reggae, pop, folk, jazz and hip hop, his next two studio albums, "Mr. A-Z" and "We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.," also found major success, racking up six Grammy nominations and multi-platinum certifications around the world.

Joining Mraz are American alternative rockers, Guster, a band known for their live performances and stage banter. With six studio albums and hit singles including "Fa Fa," "Barrel of a Gun," and "Satellite" the band's long standing career has not slowed down.

Tickets go on sale this Saturday, June 4 at 11 a.m. and include Summerfest admission. All reserved seats are $37 at the Marcus Amphitheater Box Office.

Summerfest 2011 will take place June 29 – July 3 and July 5 – 10, from noon until midnight.
