East Side Music Crawl announces lineup, ticket giveaways

Jim Zeiser, the owner of Yield, 1932 E. Kenilworth Pl., is happy to be a part of the first OnMilwaukee.com East Side Music Crawl, scheduled for Saturday, June 25 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on and around the North Avenue bar district.

"Yield loves events that support local musicians. We're looking forward to this particular event bringing together artists and people that might not have connected otherwise," says Zeisler.

The East Side Music Crawl will feature 15 local bands at 15 bars and give away hundreds of tickets to Summerfest. The cost is $10 per person. People are encouraged to pre-register in "teams." Five-person teams receive a free bandana and lanyard and 10-person teams get a bandana and two Summerfest tickets.

The largest team wins tickets to see The Black Keys at Summerfest on Wednesday, July 6. Also, the team with the best photo will win Jason Mraz tickets. Photos can be submitted during the event via the OnMilwaukee.com Facebook page.

Individuals and teams can pre-register or show up on the day of the event.
Participating bars include BBC, Cans, Dogs Bollocks, The Eastsider, Hooligan's, Judge's, Landmark Lanes, Hotel Foster, Rascals, RC's, Replay Sports Bar, Vintage, Vitucci's, Von Trier and Yield. Every bar will feature drink specials.

Anyone who buys a Miller Lite receives a ticket. The ticket can be dropped off at the OnMilwaukee.cm / FM 102 booth in the OnMilwaukee.com parking lot (between the Westbury Bank and the public library, on North Avenue) to be entered into a drawing to win Summerfest tickets. Every hour, 102 Summerfest tickets will be given away.

There will be an after-party at BBC, Cans and Yield following the crawl from 7 to 10 p.m.

"The East Side Music Crawl brings even more focus and excitement to the area and encourages people to check out multiple bars in the area, even ones they're not as familiar with," says Becky Godfrey from Vintage. "We are looking to partying with lots of new friends!"
