Bristol Renaissance Faire: July 6-Sept. 2
Once again The Ren Faire promises to be "bigger, bolder and more boisterous" than ever.
Open rain or shine, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., every Saturday and Sunday, and on Labor Day Monday, the Bristol Faire takes visitors for a rollicking romp through Elizabethan England, complete with 16th century arts, crafts, games, rides, food, music and one-of-a-kind encounters with a colorful cast of era characters.

Hours: The Ren Faire is open rain or shine every weekend from July 6 until Sept. 2. It is also open on Labor Day.
Admission: Adult tickets are $19.95; kids 5-12 are $9.50 and kids under 5 are free. Specials are available on the Web site.
Highlights: From glass blowers to potters, blacksmiths to soothsayers, more than 175 shops, tents and carts offer a world of fresh and wonderful wares. Plus, games, rides, arts, crafts, food, music and encounters with a spectacular cast of characters. The Faire boasts a 30-acre site with open-air stages featuring swordfighters, minstrels, jesters and the famous "Mud Show." All entertainment is included in the price of admission.
