Lori Fredrich will have more on Tomato Romp this week, but since we're a sponsor again this year I'm excited to announce that the fight portion of the day-long event will take place in a space that's seen its share of tomatoes – the lot that once housed Pizza Man.

That's right, the Tomato Romp caps off with the big fight, presented by Maglio & Company, at 4 p.m. on the corner of Oakland and North Avenues.

If you want to participate and are aged 16 and above, simply fill out a waiver at the East Side Green Market on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. The cost is $5 and includes a T-shirt.

All proceeds from the rotten Tomato Fight will be donated to a worthy organization to help fight hunger.
