Keyboardist Lao Tizer headlines this year's lineup for the Historic Third Ward's annual Summer Sizzle Jazz Festival.

This year's event is Saturday, Aug. 6.

The Historic Third Ward Association, the organizer of the event, announced today that Tizer and his trio, nominated for jazz group of the year in 2011 (Oasis Jazz Awards), will play from 9 until 11 p.m. on the festival's main stage.

Other performers include Chicago's Keith Scott, Agnieszka Iwanska, Swing Nouveau, Eric Jacobson and Marcya Daneille.
