Last call for the Giant Slide! |

Today is the last day of the 2009 Wisconsin State Fair. As always, the fair brought loads of entertainment, excitement and good eats from classic cream puffs to the all-new chocolate-covered bacon.
However, do yo have any suggestions for the 2010 State Fair? Is there anything you would like to see changed or improved? Or is it perfection on a stick?
Sound-off now, Milwaukee, and let us know what you might change about the fair, if anything.
No change necessary. I really don't think the fair should change very much, if at all. Many of the attractions, from the Giant Slide to the Wisconsin Product Pavilion, have been around since I was a kid, and I would really miss them if they changed or went away. The Wisconsin State Fair is not like any other large Milwaukee festival, and that's a good thing.
Change it up. I would like to see different musical acts at the fair and healthier food options, among other changes. The fair is geared towards people with kids, which is fine, but it doesn't offer a lot for those who are younger and / or kid-less. Currently, the Wisconsin State Fair doesn't really appeal to me, but with a few changes, it might.

I and my family have been attending the state fair for years and I think we need some forward looking planners(short and long) e.g. More trees for shade. It is a park. Less redundancy in vendors and why have all the vendors in one location? More park space as in park your butt in a nice landscape.

Mullets that can attach and detach. I cut mine off then got free tickets to the fair. Still had the denim cutoffs though.

Get a new Racing Pigs company. The guy they have now is difficult to understand and does not get the audience excited about the race. The previous company they had, I believe from Florida, was better and got the crowd into the race.
