Wednesday, June 28
Perhaps one of the most interesting bands to perform at Summerfest this year is MisterWives. Misterwives takes the Briggs and Stratton Big Backyard at 10 p.m. with a sound that is almost indescribable. They are fun, funky, upbeat and so much more. Their latest album, "Connect The Dots," has launched them into the spotlight, where they are quickly becoming known for a guaranteed good time filled with dancing.
Thursday, June 29
One of the more popular DJs in today’s pop world is Steve Aoki. He takes the Miller Lite Oasis Stage at 10 p.m., and I definitely will be interested to see how he goes about entertaining the crowd. So be sure to check out my review the day after his performance to find out!
Friday, June 30
As a very new artist who just broke through in 2016 with his hit single "All Time Low," Jon Bellion will be a fun show. It'll be cool to see how he performs in his first Summerfest, where he'll be at the Miller Lite Oasis Stage at 10:15 p.m.
Saturday, July 1
I thoroughly enjoy the music of Bebe Rexha and I do not plan on missing her 10 p.m. performance at the U.S. Cellular Connection Stage. With a sound I believe too often falls into the broad umbrella of generic pop music, Bebe Rexha stands out with singles that get plenty of play on the radio. I will be listening for her hit songs "I Got You" and "The Way I Are."
Sunday, July 2
Andy Grammer should be fun to watch at the Briggs and Stratton Big Backyard at 10 p.m. Grammer does not get enough credit for his music, despite his many hits. To the crowd that goes to see him, I'm sure he won't disappoint. Be sure to read my review on his show.
Tuesday, July 4
Tied for the act that I am most excited to see, Pvris (pronounced Paris) is going to rock Summerfest on the 4th as they play the Uline Warehouse Stage at 8:30 p.m. Breaking through in 2014 with their hit song "My House" off their album "White Noise," Pvris is just getting started on their musical journey. Besides all the hits from "White Noise," I am most excited to hear them perform a couple of the singles they've dropped from their latest album, "All We Know of Heaven, All We Need of Hell," set for release in August. It's sure to be a good show, and I will have a review of them, too.
Wednesday, July 5
Among the many DJs that are playing Summerfest, Girl Talk certainly stands out. With a long history that goes back 10 years, Girl Talk knows how to entertain a crowd, and I'm sure he will deliver at the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse at 10 p.m. Make sure to check out my review of him, as well.
Thursday, July 6
One of the bands that truly caught my eye when I first looked at the Summerfest lineup was A Day To Remember. Still riding the waves from their latest album, "Bad Vibrations," A Day To Remember will be a fun show full of loyal fans that have been with them since day one back in 2005. They play the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse at 10 p.m., and I will have a review of what is sure to be a rockin’ show.
Friday, July 7
Dan + Shay are one of the most unique country duos out there. They broke through in 2014 with their song "Nothin’ Like You," and I think they will put on a great show at the Uline Warehouse Stage at 10 p.m.
Saturday, July 8
Tied with Pvris for the act I am most excited to see, Chevelle is a can't-miss for any rock fan. The three-piece band that's been together since 1999 will not disappoint. I'll be listening for my favorite classic Chevelle song, "The Red." I cannot wait for this concert, or for the review I will write up after Chevelle takes the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse at 9:45 p.m.
Sunday, July 9
Lee Brice should be a good show to close out Summerfest 50. The country artist has many well-known songs, such as "I Don’t Dance" and "Hard to Love." He plays the Miller Lite Oasis Stage at 10 p.m.
