Cedar Creek Settlement hosts the Wine & Harvest Festival
Cedar Creek Settlement, in Cedarburg, is hosting the Wine & Harvest Festival Sept. 17-18. The festival will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday.
Cedar Creek Winery, part of the Cedar Creek Settlement, launched the Wine & Harvest Festival 39 years ago. The festival is a showcase for Cedar Creek Settlement's 25 shops and restaurants and offers attractions, music and events for attendees to enjoy.
The slippery, squishy "Great Grape Stomp" is always a popular event, and fest goers can compete against each other for prizes. The Kid Stomp is at 1 and 3 p.m and the Adult Stomp is at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
The pumpkin regatta will launch from the banks of Cedar Creek on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Also returning to the Wine & Harvest Festival is the "Scarecrow Sculpture Garden." The scarecrows, designed by merchants at the Cedar Creek Settlement, create a festive environment and photo opportunity.
The festival also offers live music. Three Milwaukee bands are scheduled to perform on the Cedar Creek Settlement Main Stage. Hat Trick is slated for Saturday, from noon to 4 p.m., followed by New Revue, 4-6 p.m. Bobby Way & Wayouts play Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m.
