What's amazing/sad is that Linus' speech would never be uttered today in a holiday TV special. When that was originally broadcast (in the 60s I believe) it was a far different time in our country. If that was written now, undoubtedly someone would be offended by the religious content. Although I'm sure ABC gets complaints every year. I'm FAR from a religious person but what Linus says resonates and does tell you the true story of Christmas in a very succinct way. Thanks for posting the link OMC!
