2015 North Central Council of Latin Americanists (NCCLA) Conference

Carroll University will host the 2015 NCCLA (North Central Council of Latin Americanists) Conference at the Center for Graduate Studies, September 24-26. The title of the conference is “Immigration, Emigration, Exile, and Return.” Independent scholars and faculty from over 20 colleges and universities will contribute to a variety of interesting panels spanning multiple disciplines. Panel topics include migration and exile, immigration, health, education, language, culture, and teaching about Latin America. The keynote speaker for the conference’s banquet, the evening of September 25, is Dr. Luther Castillo. Dr. Castillo is a renowned scholar in a number of institutions across the globe, and a passionate speaker on the topic of healthcare as a human right.
