Milwaukee County Parks Director John Dargle, Jr. will open the 2015 golf season with the annual "group tee-off" at Currie Park Golf Course later today at at 11 a.m. – which marks the official opening of all 15 Milwaukee County Parks golf courses.

"Milwaukee is ready for spring," Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele said in a statement. "Even prior to today’s official kickoff of the golf season at Milwaukee County Parks courses, we’ve already had golfers come out to play over 2,000 rounds. This is the latest proof that the Milwaukee County Parks golf courses are a premier destination for golf in the region."

All golfers will be pay the lowest posted rate from today through early April, and golfers who have the Milwaukee County Parks Golf Discount Card will begin earning points. Holders of the card can save up to 50 percent on green fees (excluding the par 3s). Accumulated points can be turned in for green fees. 

Reservations are recommended. Tee times can be booked through the phone reservation system at 414-475-6222, the online reservation system at milwaukeecountygolfcourses.com or at the course. Golf is on a first-come, first-served basis at the Par 3 courses.
