The Brewers had a 48-54 record when they traded Carlos Lee to Texas. They are 12-11 since. Reliever Francisco Cordero, one of the players acquired for Lee, has converted 10 of 10 save opportunities and hasn't allowed a run in 13 appearances (12 2/3 innings).
(The Brewers also have a 6-5 record since benching veteran rightfielder Geoff Jenkins).
The postseason is still a pipe dream, but there is reason to believe the Brewers will make a run at the .500 mark in the final five weeks of the season.
For those who still think the Brewers should have kept Lee or should take a run at him during free agency this winter, here is a sobering thought: Lee recently fired agent Adam Katz and has signed with Scott Boras.

Matt said: I love Cordero, but maybe the return of Sheets and Ohka has helped more than the trade.

Matt said: Tom--- Scott Boras is one of the biggest asses of baseball agents --- he would be the Drew Rosenhaus of the NFL.(Walkers, McKenzie's, and Owens agent.)
