Parking may be scarce for Brewers' opener, big games

If you were lucky enough to secure a ticket to the Brewers' home opener April 4 at Miller Park, you might want to start thinking about parking options.

"It is very likely that we will exhaust our supply of parking in the Miller Park lots for Opening Day and other high demand games this season," said Rick Schlesinger, the Brewers' executive vice president of business operations.

"While we will have an overflow option available at State Fair Park for the opener, we want to communicate the importance of planning ahead to all fans looking to attend this game and others this summer at Miller Park.

"Our best advice is to purchase parking in advance, which offers fans savings on the price and ensures a guaranteed location for their vehicle in the Miller Park lots."

Advance parking passes are currently available for all 81 regular season games and for both exhibition games at Miller Park next week (Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29 against the Kansas City Royals).

By purchasing parking passes in advance, fans can receive savings of up to 50 percent for most parking locations. Advance General parking passes for Opening Day are priced at $8 with Preferred parking listed at $12 per pass.

In comparison, parking purchased on Opening Day -- if space is available -- will cost $15 for General and $25 for Preferred. Note: there is a limit of two advance parking passes per ticket transaction for Opening Day.

In addition to fans being guaranteed an available spot, advantages of purchasing parking in advance include a more efficient transaction process that is less time consuming than paying for parking on game days.

In the likely event where Opening Day parking sells out (possibly in advance), overflow parking and shuttle services will be available from State Fair Park for $5.
